Where to Stay -- Student Tours To Philadelphia

Selecting the right hotel in Philadelphia is the same as most other major cities. Your group needs a clean, comfortable and safe place to stay. You want a hotel that is centrally located for your activities. Here’s how a morning at your hotel might look. After a restful night’s sleep, you and your students enjoy a hot American breakfast in your group’s dining room. You head to your motorcoach, and after a short drive, you start your morning activity.

Depending on your morning activities and length of stay in Philadelphia, there are many great hotel options. If your group has the budget and your activities are in Philadelphia, stay in the city center. If you have a little less budget, stay in the Cherry Hill area of New Jersey. There are lovely properties 10-15 minutes from the old city in Philadelphia. If your morning activities are in Valley Forge, consider staying in the King of Prussia area.

Where to Eat -- Student Travel Philadelphia Tour

Your and your student group want to make meals an experience on tour. The Reading Terminal Market is a great place to experience Philadelphia’s sites, sounds, and tastes. Strategize your meals and plan to grab a cheesesteak. When you’re a Reading Terminal Market, skip the cheesesteak and head straight to DaNic’s for a Roasted pork sandwich. If roasted pork and cheesesteak are not your things, you’ll find something at one of the 80 vendors in the historic indoor market.

Just across the street from Independence Hall is the recently renovated Bourse. The Bourse is a food hall with 28 vendors and a range of options. The Bourse is a culinary mix of new Philadelphia cuisine. The communal tables and big screen projected sports games are a lot of fun to experience with your students on tour.
